EJOT successfully launched the new generation facade anchors with European Technical Approval.

With the new facade anchor generation EJOT SDF-10V (=solid brick) and EJOT SDF-10H (=hollow brick) EJOT Building Fasteners has been able to once again break new ground in the embedment technology.

For the first time it is possible to use facade anchors with European Technical Approval with only a minimum embedment depth in concrete (for a minimum concrete strength of C 12/15) of only 40 mm. Only 40 mm embedment depth translates to at least 10 mm less hole depth compared to similar products. When processing approx. 5.000 facade anchors 50 metres of drilling path can be saved. The EJOT SDF-10V can also be set 50mm deep into concrete and masonry, which causes a significant increase of the side load.

One of the biggest challenges for the anchor manufacturers is to develop products which can be installed into today's generation of masonry building material, in particular perforated and hollow brick, without much additional effort and at the same time realising a sufficient load bearing capacity.

To enable us to deal with these areas of installation EJOT Building Fasteners have also developed an anchor which features a special expansion part for hollow and perforated brick. Where previously only the injection technology on the basis of resin-based mortar guaranteed reliable hold, today the EJOT facade anchor SDF-10H can be used in most masonry materials. The EJOT facade anchor SDF-10H also has the specific European Approval for concrete and solid brick masonry, which makes it a true allrounder.

Both the EJOT facade anchors have European Technical Approval and are distinguished by the use of only the highest quality materials. For example the anchor sleeves which are made of polyamide B3L. The material will not weather even after a number of years and it guarantees a working life of 50 years.
