EJOT sets an example for the environment

Environmental protection and conservation of resources are some of the most important future tasks. Topics such as energy saving, resource conservation, sustainability and protection of the environment are also becoming the focus of the German building and real estate industry. This in turn leads to a ranking of buildings under ecological aspects as for example energy efficiency and resource consumption. In particular public awarding authorities include these criteria into their contracts.

In terms of future building product acts, certificates regarding the basic demands "hygiene, environment, health protection" and "sustainable use of the natural resources" will be required.

EJOT, as a leading company in the field of ETICS fasteners, has responded to these requirements. The first environmental product declaration (EPD) for anchor manufacturers was obtained by EJOT and we can now present a comprehensive and complete record for the sustainability and the balance of environmental influences of our products.

The certification is from the Institute for Construction and Environment (IBU), which is currently the only German organisation that works according to international standards and develops internationally approved EPD's in cooperation with the manufacturers. The IBU was also recommended by the consumer initiative e.V., which is an award for the highest transparency and credibility.

With the EPD from the Institute for Construction and Environment, everyone whether they are planners, contractors or trade, can obtain information regarding the product properties and environmental effects of the EJOT ETICS fasteners and be assured of their sustainability.
