Renovation of two-shell masonry

When renovating old building structures and before installing ETIC systems legislation demands an inspection of the structural safety of the wall. The structural safety has to be restored where necessary. Double-leaf walls

with outer leafs, where the connection of the two leafs is often compromised due to corrosion of the cavity wall ties, can be restored to structural safety with the EJOT VSD-8U V.

The zinc-plated steel screw of the EJOT VSD-8U V

with building authorities approval, enables a renovation of the outer leaf of outdoor buildings, in an industrial atmosphere and close to the coast. After renovation of the outer leaf, an additional facade system with thermal insulation (e.g. ETICS) with a thickness of at least 60 mm has to be applied. Ventilation behind the outer leaf has to be prevented also.
