Often, fl at roofs are not designed with suffi cient load carrying capacity reserves, to allow a solar power generation project.

Most of these concepts had to be rejected, due to additional weight for securing the PV supporting systems against wind uplift forces. Often the required ballast weight endangered the structural load capacity of the roof.

The Solar Fastener FD works with PV supporting systems that are installed directly onto fl at roof membranes (i.e. plastic PV module supports or metal supporting systems) absorbing all tensile forces caused by wind suction, without the need to add additional weight.

With this new and innovative fastening concept of the EJOT Solar Fastener FD, especially projects involving older style flat roofs can become feasible again.

Features:

  • Light system for absorbing tensile forces caused by wind suction.

  • Securely fastened with the drill-screw JT3-2H-6,0 x 25 to the crown of the substructure’s trapezoidal sheet.

  • Identification of the allowable tensile forces, by following the technical approval Z-14.4-426.

  • Absorbtion of the weight load and transverse forces is performed by the supporting system.

  • The Solar Fastener FD is suited to work with almost all common plastic membranes (i.e. PVC, FPO, TPO, EPDM and EVA). (The concept for bitumen is in work).

  • Simply and securely sealed by using the EJOT EJOflex system in combination with mechanical clamping of the flat roof membrane.

  • Applicable for insulation thickness of up to 200 mm/8” (Only compression proofed Insulation, i.e. EPS).

  • Connection to attachment parts with the protruding threaded element (M10) and appropriate adaption for the chosen supporting system.

  • Corrosion resistant.
