The new European Technical Approval ETA-10/0200 is here.
The ETA-10/0200 replaces the usual DiBt approval Z-14.1-4, which previously regulated the fastening of steel profiles to steel substructures and in parts also for wooden substructures.
While the Z-14.1-4 is only valid in Germany, the new approval now regulates the above mentioned fastenings in all of Europe. Primarily our internationally acting customers will benefit from this.
In addition to the new self-drilling screws, as for example our bestseller JT3-2Hplus 5,5 x 25, that offer many advantages for our customers, we once more met the market demands and now offer all our 2-component steel screws JT3 (A2 austinetic) and JT5 (A4 austinetic) Bi-Met fastener range.
Another development that has been considered and incorportated is the market trend for many buildings to be constructed from high strength steels S355 (ST52). This development is due mainly from the needs of engineers, planners and architects having a requirement to construct buildings that are leaner and more cost effective while maintaining the structural and loading properties of the structure. Even if the S355 (ST52) stays the main used steel in our industry, our customers can now work with our screws and the new ETA without any hesitations. They don't have to wonder on which kind of steel they are mounting. The new ETA also incorporates the high strength steel with a substructure thickness above 3 mm.
